The next annual study weekend will take place in Manchester on Friday April 1st – Sunday April 3rd 2016. Here are a few things we have planned to whet your appetite…
Presentations confirmed so far will cover library marketing strategies and demonstrating value with speakers from both the public and academic sectors, copyright (with a speaker from the Copyright Hub), music-making in Manchester in 1916, in the year of the Rio Olympics a presentation on Brazilian composer Villa Lobos, presentations from both the Halle Archivist on their most recent archive acquisition – the archives of conductor Hans Richter, and the RNCM archivist exploring the use of archives for outreach, an update on the Get it Loud in Libraries project which has just received Arts Council funding to enable its expansion and an overview of the innovative work of the Irish Traditional Music Archive.

The full residential rate for the weekend is remaining at £295. Day rates and 24 hour residential rates are also available.
